Common questions

What counts as a "request"?
Any LLM call routed through your AgentAIShield API key counts as one request — regardless of token count or provider. Streaming requests count as a single request. Internal health checks and dashboard API calls do not count.
What is the cost arbitrage engine?
The cost arbitrage engine will intelligently route each request to the most cost-effective model that meets your quality threshold — routing simple queries to cheaper models and keeping complex reasoning on your premium model. This feature is currently in development and is planned for release in Q2 2026.
Can I switch plans or cancel anytime?
Yes — upgrade, downgrade, or cancel from your billing portal at any time. Cancellations take effect at the end of your billing period and we never charge early termination fees.
What happens if I hit my request limit?
We alert you at 80% usage so you're never caught off guard. At 100%, requests return a 429 error until the next billing cycle or until you upgrade. We never silently drop requests or add overage charges without your approval.
Do you offer startup / non-profit discounts?
Yes. Email [email protected] with proof of status (YC batch, 501c3, etc.) and we'll set up a custom discount. Annual billing already saves 20% across all paid plans.
How is my LLM traffic secured?
All traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3). Prompt contents are hashed — we store fingerprints, not raw text, unless you opt in to retention. Provider API keys are AES-256 encrypted at rest. AgentAIShield is pursuing SOC 2 Type II certification and is GDPR compliant.
